Peaceful lifestyle in an idyllic setting The rooms, Duplexes, Apartments and Suites are built in crescents that radiate from the resort's common areas. The magnificent gardens, dotted with ponds, are full of bougainvilleas, frangipane trees, palm trees and coconut trees. The sophisticated rooms overlook either the lush gardens and swimming pool or the glittering turquoise sea. Blending perfectly with their tropical surroundings, they benefit from soothing neutral colours and natural woods creating an ambiance of casual elegance. The furniture is in light-coloured wood and the walls are decorated in a unique shade of plum while delicate shutters and curtains gently filter in natural light. Equipped with large framed mirrors, that add a sense of space, the bathrooms are modern with a tropical slant.
The one-bedroom Standard rooms feature a bathroom with a shower whereas the slightly larger Superior rooms have both a bath and shower. Considered one of the most popular four-star family resorts in Mauritius, Le Canonnier has two categories of rooms suitable for families.

Family Duplex Garden
The Duplexes are spilt-level rooms with a staircase leading to a mezzanine. The mezzanine is accessible by a flight of stairs, giving children the impression of having their own “cabin”. Duplexes are located at the centre of the hotel, close to all facilities, including a spectacular mini-club housed in an authentic 18th-century lighthouse. Some Duplexes are closer to the beach, while others open onto the gardens and pool, offering two different atmospheres to suit different tastes and budgets.

A whole world of fun for children
Each Beachcomber hotel offers a free Bob Marlin mini-club that provides a range of activities that will appeal to your children. Open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the mini-club is reserved for children aged 3 to 12
Babysitting
Babysitting is available with a supplement. Bookings should be made at the Reception 24 hours in advance. Transport for the babysitter is to be paid by guests.

Live music, shows and folkloric dances will immerse you in local, Indian or Latin cultures. Bring your dancing shoes along for dinner at Le Navigator and dance the night away as from 11.30 p.m. the restaurant transforms into a disco.

Conviviality and colonial charm
Architecturally tropical in design, the resort's restaurants are positioned to make the most of the unique setting and serve excellent food to suit all tastes.
Non-smoking policy (as from the 1st of November 2008) Restaurants: each restaurant will feature a "smoking area". Smoking will not be permitted outside this area. Bars: smoking will be permitted in all bars.
Le Frangipanier: Main restaurant lined with coconut trees and fringed by a pool and spacious terrace. Integrated kids corner with its own buffet and furniture.
Breakfast: buffet style from 7.30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Continental breakfast: served in the room from 7.30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Lunch: from 12.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. Buffets, pizzas, pastas and grilled food.
Dinner: theme buffets from 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.
